I recently ordered a “Blind Date with a Book” from Spread Those Pages and I honestly loved it!
I chose the fantasy option, and I really liked the whole idea of not knowing exactly what book I was going to receive. I think it’s such a good idea if you’re in a bit of a reading slump or just don’t know what to read next.
The books are personally chosen from books that she’s read herself and would recommend, which I really liked. It gives it that lovely feeling of a friend recommending a book to you and saying, “You have to read this!”
You can also leave notes with books you’ve already read or books you’ve enjoyed, which is such a good idea because it gives her a bit of guidance and helps avoid you receiving something you’ve already read.
I chose hot chocolate as my drink, and the package also came with a biscuit and some bookmarks. Everything felt really lovely and premium, and I honestly thought £12.99 for everything was really good value.
The presentation was also fantastic. Everything was packaged beautifully, and there was a little thank-you note included, which was such a nice personal touch. You could really tell a lot of thought had gone into putting the whole thing together.
Postage and delivery were really quick too, which was an added bonus!
Overall, I really enjoyed the whole experience. I love that you get the excitement of a mystery book, but it’s still been personally chosen for you. It’s also a great way to find a new book when you’re stuck in that “I don’t know what to read next” phase!

My Blind Date with a Book was beautifully packaged, and the bookmark comes in handy as I'm constantly misplacing mine. The biscuit lasted as long as it took to unwrap the book!
The Mocha Coffee lasted a little longer.

Fabulous customer service through the whole process. Love how you can see boxes being put together on the Instagram account too! Wonderfully fun to open with some extras alongside the book. A great gift- or gift for yourself… and a brilliant way to find new books you might not otherwise. 10/10 recommend to all.
